Shipping auto select based on order

    Is there ANY WAY to have the correct shipping price automatically selected based on the items in the cart?

    I’d like to sell 2 types of items:

    • 1 item that always gets free shipping.
    • 1 variable item with 3 different kinds of flat rates.

    If I’m ordering the free shipping item plus the variable item, free shipping shows up as an option among the flat rate shipping costs. I’m sure this will confuse customers who will just go with free shipping for both items, which would be wrong. I’ve been looking all over online for a way to get this to work and don’t see it. Can anyone help?
