    After setting up the DHL plugin successfully (both with live and sandbox credentials) I realised that the plugin fails to create a shipping label if the customer doesn’t fill out the “Address 2” field. That error happens both with live and sandbox credentials.

    The only threads I found about this topic were a couple of years old and it was claimed to be fixed in v1.3.11.

    I hope someone can help me with this! 🙂

  • @grar Hi!

    The problem might be with how you enter the address into the field!

    When you enter an address into “Address line 1” make sure you have a name of a street and a building number written separately or with dot as a separator (e.g. Spreeweg 1 or Spreeweg.1). In this case the address will be captured correctly. You can also write a street name into field “Address line 1” and a building number into “Address line 2”.

    Please let me know if that works for you!

    @shevasa Thanks for your answer!

    The problem is that I don’t want customers to be forced to put anything in the address 2 field. When I fill out address 2 it works just fine. But if I keep it empty, it doesn’t work like described above.

    @grar Thanks for quick reply!

    Could you please try to place a testing order with an address only in “Address line 1” field, writing a street address and building number separately (e.g. StreetName 12).

    In case the issue is still there, you can contact us via email: dhlsupport@progressusmarketing.com, so that can share some media and solve the issue!

    @grar Hi!

    Please let me know, whether you still have an issue with “Address 2”?

    @shevasa I found out now that it actually works if address 1 has a street name and a building number separated by a space. In my opinion, it feels like a bug that it doesn’t create a label because there is no space or dot separator in address 1, but I guess it’s meant to be like that?

    @grar This is how the plugin works and how the backend logic was developed!

    It is great to hear that now it works well for you! Have a great day!
