• Hi, great theme except that when the Facebook share button is clicked the wrong image is selected. How can this be resolved so that the image I want is chosen please. Thanks, Mark

  • To solve this Problem you have to know why Facebook chooses a picture.

Facebook wants to use the defined open graph image. But if a website has no defined open graph image, facebook is going to chooses the first image on page.

You can define a photo wich should be selectet by adding some open Graph Data to the header.

the easiest way to do this when you theme does not have this feature is by a plugin e.g. WordPress SEO by Yoast
After you activated the plugin, go to SEO > Social and activate open graph data.
Now you can choose for every post or page a open graph image at the “WordPress SEO by Yoast > Social” Option.

I have tried this with various plugins but I always get “Your page has meta tags in the body instead of the head. This may be because your HTML was malformed and they fell lower in the parse tree.
Please fix this in order for the tags to be usable” in the debugger. Any other deas?

    Ok.
Please provide a link to your website, so we can help you.
Is this error caused by other plugins too?

I’ve tried to get around it with Hupso share plugin; Add to any share buttons, All in one SEO, Facebook Featured Image and Open Graph Meta Tags plugin and now Yoast. Can I email you the details as the website is private and sensitive at this time?
