Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
I’m not really sure that I understand, but from my feeling: No, sorry, it’s not possible to edit/modify multiple tables at once.
Regards,
Tobias
I mean, not a once. I didnt explain well. Is like in a website, with several users, it is possible to asign a unique table with the editor options to those users?.
One table for the user 1 and just that user 1 can configure their own table with the editor options. Other table for the uer 2 and just that user 2 can configure… like that. So each user have their own editor table. Is it possible?
Thanks for the quick answer Tobias.
Hi,
ah, ok. It’s not directly or easily possible, but maybe with a TablePress Extension that I’m working on, that allows setting access rights. If you are interested in that, please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”).
Regards,
Tobias
Oh great, thanks. It would be good and very practical with an extension. But you think it would be possible by “modifying” the existing code source of the Datatables and the Editor?
I mean once purchased the Editor, a developer can achieve that by investigating your code sources and finding scripts and combining it to make it possible?. My question is that, is it possible to achieve that with the knowledge necessary? I mean without that TablePress Extension your team is workng on.
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
ok, now things are getting more complex and confusing 🙂 I assume that you are referring to “DataTables Editor” from https://editor.datatables.net/ ?
Unfortunately, I do not have a solution to use that in any way with TablePress.
Regards,
Tobias
Yes. I referring from the beginning to the Datatables Editor. Is that… to know if its is possible with the Datatables and the Editor extension that brings more “flexibility”. Not the Tablepress.
Hi,
thanks for the clarification! Unfortunately, I’ll have to disappoint you then. It’s not possible to use DataTables Editor with TablePress. And likely, it won’t be in the future (at least with code from my side), as DataTables Editor is not open source.
Regards,
Tobias
Ok I understand. But I referring just to Datatables and the Editor, not the Tablepress. I mean I have the Datatables and the Editor and just with that I would like to know if it is possible to do what I’m question.
Sorry for not mentioned before. So its that… One table for the user 1 and just that user 1 can configure their own table with the editor options. Other table for the uer 2 and just that user 2 can configure… like that. So each user have their own editor table. Is it possible by using just the Datatables and the Editor, leaving apart Tablepress?
Thanks.
Hi,
sorry, I can’t help with that. If this question is not related to TablePress, you will need to ask this in the DataTables forums.
Regards,
Tobias
Ok, sorry. I will use the formum of Datatables. Thanks
