Several Problems!!!

Hi there, ill make it short:

1) People registering do NOT receive the predefined role I want them to. (I created another group called ‘Need activation’ but my registering test account automatically becomes a ‘member’.)

2) I’m using the WP SMTP plugin to work around the issue with emails not being sent by the simple php function. Yet people registering to my page do not receive any emails whatsoever except … –> see 3)

3) People registering to my page do not receive a message that there account still has to be activated by an admin. Instead they get the STANDARD MESSAGE wordpress gives out to recently to the site registered people.
