setup help

I am new to this setup thing, and I have a few questions.

1-at the top of the page is a link that says mplsphotoman.blog well that link just brings me back to the blog, I want to be able to assign a page to that link, how do I do that ?

2-I want to be able to just come and write, I do not want to register, I do want to be able to have people leave comments, but I want to be the one that posts. How do I do this ?
