Setting up twitter using development site?

    I have having trouble connecting to a twitter account and I think it may be due to the fact that I am launching the twitter integration from a envelopment site (I have this setup to temporarily link via my hosts file).

    After I allow social authorization to the twitter account, it comes up
    “Redirecting you back to application”. This then fails with a 404 as I am guessing that twitter cannot see my devsite, only the existing site.

    I there any way around this?
