    Hi,

    During step 1 of the set-up process, I am prompted to log in to a WordPress.com account.

    Does this need to be a specific account which would be linked to our WooCommerce store in some way, or can I just create a new free account and use that?

    If your store is not already connected to a WordPress.com account, then sure you can create a new account and use it.

    Just to clarify, WooCommerce.com and WordPress.com accounts are the same thing, since both services are operated by Automattic.

    I thought it might be helpful to mention this to clear up any potential confusion.
