Set category when uploading

    Is it possible to set the category of an image when uploading? In other words, if I am adding am image to the Media Manager (or a plugin that uses the Media Manager), can I select the desired category for that image when adding?

    It’s not possible to do it while uploading. But you can bulk select images after upload (select ‘no category’ in the media library) and then assign the desired category.

    Is it the correct behavior that the plugin shares the same categories as the posts? I was hoping to have a category list for just the media library.

    By default it uses the same categories as WordPress uses for post and pages. In the faq it is explained how you can change this.
