• Suddenly I cannot access my blog. I get a server error. I can’t get the version number, obviously. I do know it is either the latest version or the one before it.

Is there a way to troublehoot this? My host says to download and manually install the upgrade package. That could cause more problems, since I am not a deft tech.

    Any further advice?

    sorry…www.golferblogger.com

Try upgrading manual, if it doesn’t work your hosting provider should let you restore to a certain date. Communication is key to solving a issue.

    Resolved.

The Open Hook plugin was still active, even though I switch from Thesis a month or so ago. The host deactivated it and the reloaded the site.

Thank you. Communication was key 🙂

    I get a server error….

If it’s a sudden “server error” and you didn’t do anything, ask your web host.

There’s absolutely no need to do a manual or auto upgrade or restore a backup; it’s more than likely a transient server error. Ask your web host if the server is up and OK.

Thank you very much. See above. It’s resolved.
