    Long story short: Skip this plugin if you ever need to actually use your visitors email addresses.

    Adding the form was simple enough, and this might well be all the functionality that some people need; but actually using the email addresses captured by this plugin? That would require some complicated formulas in an Excel spreadsheet to remove the superfluous nonsense this plugin generates.

    Supposedly, there’s an add-on you can purchase to make the data output from this plug-in useful, however the link to it within the plug-in is broken, and the lackadaisical website its author links to, purportedly to provide support, offers nothing in the way of tangible detail as to what this magical add-on might do.

    Hi kkrehbiel, Thank you for your review. I think you made some valid criticisms.
    I had been procrastinating on an update but you gave the motivation to hit the upload button.
    Here is a list of the new features I have added to the plugin, one of them inspired by your post here. Hopefully you’ll take another look at the plugin. Cheers!

    • The form results additionally show just the name and email
    • The raw data is still accessible
    • Customizable subject field to for your auto responder.
    • Added a new Spam control method using an optional honey pot field
    • Formatting change to Easy Sign Up Options page form fields
    • Fixed links to beforesite.com
    • Developers: added support for creating hidden fields to the ‘esu_add_extra_options’ filter
    • Added support for the front end customizer dynamic widget interface
