• Resolved francism

I did something stupid in trying to put a URL link in my blog title using the options category.

The result has been that the WP theme has totally disappeared and, althought I can still sign in, I cannot access any of the admin menus eg. Write/Manage/Options.

This is the error message I get when I try to sign into Options – “The requested URL /wp-admin/options-general.php was not found on this server.”

This is what the blog looks like at the moment –

    Any help gratefully received.

  • Consider using phpMyAdmin to make sure your wp_options table has the correct values in siteurl and home.

siteurl is your WordPress address (URI) and home is your Blog Address (URI).

You might want to logout and delete your wp-content/cache folder also.

And even though you didn’t move your blog, here’s some other info:

    Michael,

Luckily my web hoster has phpMyAdmin so I didn’t have to install it.

The problem was with the wp_options table and everything is now working fine.

Thanks so much for your help. It’s greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Francis
