When I go into move my menu’s around in ASE, /admin interface/admin menu organizer/custom,

I have a kazillion separator’s listed, so moving a menu item from the bottom to near the top takes forever. Multiple small mouse movements to get it to scroll all the way back to the top while holding left mouse button. This is insane.

It seems like every time I move an item, more separator’s shows up?? This can’t be how this is supposed to be??

    Pointers?

Ok..it now seems that I have so many separators (?), the site actually crashes waiting for ASE to load.

It has become unusable at this point as it occurs each time I try an access ASE. (site just spins trying to load)

Any thoughts before I deactivate and remove? I liked it, but not when I can no longer use it.

@howiedoit are you using the Pro version of ASE?

No I am not, but should that even matter?

Otherwise, I am supposed to expect it to be unusable unless I purchase Pro?

I don’t require all the pro settings.

    Thanks

It matters. If you’re using the free version and you’re seeing that, it means there is a bug to be fixed.

So, let’s begin the troubleshooting process…

First, if you right click anywhere on the ASE settings page, and click ‘Inspect’ (in Chrome / Firefox), and click on the ‘Console’ tab, do you see any (javascript) error as you move around menu items in the Admin Menu Organizer module?… or, maybe even before moving menu items around?… If you see errors, please take a screenshot and upload to something like imagebam.com and share the link here.

Second, please go to Tools >> Site Health >> Info (tab), and click on the button to copy all the WP environment info and paste them here. It contains generic information that does not point to any specific site / URL. This info may provide some clue.

Ahhh…ok. At this time I have it disabled, may take another look when I get back to the office. Won’t be until Monday, earliest.

    Thanks.

Marking this resolved for now as there hasn’t been any reply in 2 months. Feel free to respond further if you have more info on the JS error (if you still experience this issue).
