• I opened my wordpress admin today and seen a notice that I needed to update to the new SEO Ultimate plugin. I clicked the update button and got a failure message and everything from the plugin dissappeared. It’s no longer in dashboards menu nor is it listed on my plugins page. I tried to reintall it using the add new plugin and I get a message that the destination folder already exists. How do I fix the problem?

Are you sure it’s not listed on your Plugins page? Perhaps your plugins list is broken into multiple pages, in which case you may have to go to page 2 or 3 to locate SEO Ultimate in the list.

If it’s not listed, then it sounds like you’ll have to delete the plugin’s folder (wp-content/plugins/seo-ultimate) using an FTP program, and then reinstall the plugin.

If you get the failure message again, copy the message text and add it to this thread so I can take a look at it.

Don’t know what the problem was or what caused the update to erase and disable the plugin but simply erasing through ftp and reinstalling worked.

    Thanks.
