You might not have an answer to this, but I’ll ask…
I’m wondering if there are any SEO implications with the photos added to the quiz. Do we know how the big G looks at these quizzes?
For instance, I have my quizzes set to paginate. Whenever someone opens the post where the quiz is, it’s a featured picture, a paragraph, some ads, and a NEXT button.
Once they start the quiz, I always have a featured pic for each question. Does it matter if Tags are placed on these pictures? Same question for the pictures I add to the wrong answer text.
Just want to make sure I’m maximizing my keywords placements for each quiz.
    Thanks again!

So this is actually a super complex question, but I’ll do my best to simplify and broad strokes the answer.

First: Unlike some competing quiz plugins, HD Quiz renders all of the questions and answers serverside. This means that search engines like Google have zero problems seeing and indexing the questions.

From here on it gets a bit more complicated.

For Featured Images images, HD Quiz will print the image and try to figure out what the alt text should be. If your image has an attached alt data, then that will be used. If it does not have attached alt meta, then it will check for and use the title as a fallback. If there is no title, then there will be no alt tag. For the actual image title tag, HD Quiz uses the name of the quiz + the post_id to create unique title tags for each fetured image. This ensures that the quizzes are as SEO optimized as possible out of the gate, while still allowing you to manually change things if needed.

When you set an Image in HD Quiz, the “popup” lightbox window that appears where you can select an image from your library or upload a new one – once an image is selected, there will be a sidebar on the right with fields for Alt text.

For “images as answers”, you HD Quiz uses the same text as the answer as the alt and title text. Not only is this good for SEO, but it is more importantly needed for accessibility – to help those who need screenreaders or similar to use the quiz.

Other than that – it is important to know that although search engines will still be able to “See” hidden (paginated) questions, the very fact that they are not visible by default means that search engines will give that text lesser importance compared to text that is visible by default. This is not something that can be changed in HD Quiz – it’s just the nature of the beast.

Ok, wow, I understood all of this ha ha! I appreciate it. So, it looks like spending time ALT tagging all my pictures would be a wise move. Tedious, but wise. And from now on, I’ll just be tagging all my photos as I build each quiz.

    Thanks again, amazing plugin!!!
