The problem is a slow connection in sending (submitting) the form. Once the little revolving circle (“connecting”) stops spinning, the email arrives in my mailbox almost immediately.
Hi it could be your theme or other plugin that is causing this plugin to slow down when submitting your form.
Have you tried using a different browser just for some testing? Have you tried to test a WordPress default theme like Twenty Thirteen?

I disabled all the other plugins and that didn’t help. I tried 3 browsers. At your suggestion I’ve now tested with 2013. I even turned off CAPTCHA and even disabled si-contact-form and installed a new plugin. Nothing I’ve done has helped to this point.

Edit the form. Under advanced settings tab there is an option called (Enable checking DNS records for the domain name when checking for a valid email address.). Some servers have a delay if this setting is enabled.
Did that fix it?
If not, then it must be something else.
