Edit: sometimes it doesn’t work at all.
Hi joren,
We’ve run a bunch of tests to make sure, and it’s definitely working. Please make sure of the following:
– You have specified an email address, subject and content for each email found in the Notifications settings (don’t leave the subject lines blank).
– You have not put anything in the “FROM Email Address Header” field.
Hi, here are my settings:
Reply to name: Van Rompaey home cooking
reply to email address: info@vanrompaeyhomecooking.be
admin notification: checked
Admin email address: info@vanrompaeyhomecooking.be
FROM email address header: blanked out, but the e-mail address of the webmaster is filled in in light grey.
When a booking is made, an e-mail is sent to info@vanrompaeyhomecooking.be. I edit the booking, set the status to ‘Confirmed’ and check the checkbox ‘Send notification’. Unfortunately the customer doesn’t receive an email…
In that case, there’s a separate issue at hand. Are you running any kind of external SMTP plugin, such as WP Mail SMTP? If not, we suggest trying it, as automatic emails from WordPress often get flagged as spam.
Also, did you make sure you specified an email address, subject and content for each email found in the Notifications settings (don’t leave the subject lines blank)?
@fivestarplugins: installing the WP Mail plugin helped me out. Thanks a lot for the support!
