Selection of Shipping Method Doesn’t Trigger Discount

    Coupon setup:
    Cart discount of $10; minimum spend is $100
    Checkout – Shipping Methods – Local Pickup
    Automatically add coupon to cart is checked
    Everything else is default.
    Site is: http://bobblehouse.com/

    To reproduce:
    Add item over $100 to cart.
    Go to cart. Nothing about a discount is shown.
    Free Shipping is selected by default.
    Select Local Pickup. This should trigger the discount but it doesn’t.
    Refreshing the page does show the discount applied.
    Same happens on Checkout page.
    1) How can I let user know the discount is available? I tried the Experimental setting but that didn’t work.
    2) Can changing from Free Shipping to Local Pickup be made to trigger the discount if conditions apply?

    The discount should appear automatically.

    What happens if you try it with a default theme and other (WooCommerce related) plugins disabled?

    I am hesitant to switch themes and disable plugins on a live site where people are placing orders several times a day. Anything else I can try? Are you able to create a similar setup on a test site? It’s pretty straightforward, free shipping, turn on local pickup, cart discount, minimum spend. Any help is appreciated.

    I have a test site on which your coupon type is working (€ 10 Cart discount on 100+ spend and local pickup) in combination with Storefront theme.

    What plugins do you have enabled? And what theme are you using?

    What happens on the test site when you are at the cart and switch from Free Shipping to Local Pickup?

    I’d suggest you trying to disable the Woocommerce related plugins 1-by-1 to see if any of them is conflicting. Start with Woocommerce Product Options. Ofcourse you can enable them afterwards; just need to pinpoint the source of the problem.

    Please let me know which is conflicting.

    I tried the test site, but I don’t see the discount being applied when clicking Local Pickup.
    The price remains at 100. It should subtract the discount of 10 for choosing Local Pickup.

    I just noticed the demo site has two ‘local pickups’ and the one with discount was only available from the Netherlands. I fixed it.

    Try the first ‘Local Pickup’ option (not the Legacy one). The discount should appear right between Subtotal and Shipping.

    Looking further — it is possible that plugin is not being used, so I could most likely remove it.
