selecting multiple Container blocks still hanging pages

but perhaps you didn’t see it these since it was previously marked resolved (which it no longer is).

This problem is back. This time, on a different site. I tried doing all of the same things:

• updated Spectra to the newest version
• regenerated assets
• cleared the server cache
• did a clear cache & reload on the editor page

But this time it didn’t fix the problem. Every time I select multiple container blocks, the page hangs so completely that I can’t even navigate away from it until the browser times out. I can select one container at a time (even if it contains other containers), and I can select multiple blocks that aren’t containers, but I cannot select two or more container at the same level of hierarchy. It also seems to be page-specific, broken on one page and working on another. I’ve hard-refreshed the broken page numerous times, to no avail.

Edited to add: I have tried turning off every plugin except Spectra, and switching to the Twenty Twenty Three theme, and the problem persists. The page hangs so profoundly I cannot even close the tab it’s in, I just have to wait for it to time out.

What else can I try?
