Select Registration Roles

    Hello, first of thank you for the plugin.
    When creating a registration form an dropdown “Select Registration Roles *” is added in which the applicant has to chose a role.

    Can I deactivate and hide this dropdown entirely ?

    Hi,
    Thanks for reaching out.

    Yes, you can easily do it.

    Just use the specific user Role shortcode. As you’re using global shortcode that’s why the select Registration Role option is appearing.

    Sorry did not see your reply. Will look in to that first.

    In the Form block that is added to the page there is an option “Select Form” to choose a role. With that the dropdown dissapears.
    I assume that this determines which role the applicant is assigned. This removes the mandatory choice.

    However, the shop owner wants to decide which role an applicant is assigned based on the application received.
    So not an preselected role but determined by the shopowner the moment the application is approved.

    Would that be possible?

    Yes, possible.

    When you take a registration for the specific user Role, you as an admin can review and change the user Role.

    Yes, that would be needed.

    One question : Is this checkbox new and the default for the plugin version 2.4.4. ?
    Reason I ask: There is another shop in which version 2.4.3 is used. Will this checkbox be added to the form when I update to 2.4.4 ? So shopowner had to be aware that this happens and needs to change the role.

    Sorry, I don’t your query about the Checkbox. Are you talking about the select Role field?

    Kindly share more.

    However, nothing will be changed after the update. Your previous settings will same as before.

    Hi,
    To clarify: I mean the dropdown “Select Registration Roles *” on the registration form.
    In another shop which has WholesaleX – B2B & Wholesale Plugin version 2.4.3 installed there is no such dropdown “Select Registration Roles *” on the registration form.
    So I assume that this new in version 2.4.4. Is that correct?

    Forget I asked.
    On the other shop the checkbox is not shown because it has a registration for a specfic role. (I missed that)
