Select country in frontend

    Hello everyone,
    is it possible to choose from a list of countries in the front end, so that the plugin will only search in the country selected?
    It seems that it is only possible to generally append a customer search with e.g. “Netherlands” or “Europe” (this can be specified in the plugin’s backend).
    But if you have added locations in different countries and you run a search with a valid, let’s say, German postal code – which also exists in other countries in the same area (here “Europe”) – the plugin will possibly show results for the same postal code, but the one of the other country.
    This can only be avoided by adding a select menu in the frontend with countries to choose from. Can it be done?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I like to add some further explanations to my request for support:
    We are using Locatoraid Pro. A great plugin! However, we have locations in more than 5 European countries. For that reason, it would be desirable to have a frontend menu to choose the country to be searched in (avoiding conflicts when a user runs a search by putting in a zip code, only).
    Perhaps the plugin author can comment on this? Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hello,
    sorry for not replying sooner. We’ve got your idea, will try to implement it somehow in one of the nearest update. Most probably we’ll scan the current locations database to see if there is more than one country, and if it’s true, then show the countries drop down list.

    Hello,
    as of version 2.3.4 we have added the option to display country drop down in the front end. You will need to have locations with various countries, then enable in in Configuration > Settings.

    @hitcode Hi, I am on 2.3.5 and have added two locations. One from Uk & one from India. Still I couldn’t find a option to enable country dropdown. What I am missing ?

    Hello,
    you will also need to enable that in Configuration > Settings : Choose Country Drop Down.

    Hello Author,
    How can I choose the country, state and cities with dropdown in admin section. As you have said Configuration > Settings : Choose Country Drop Down. But, we don’t find any such option. It is there in Demo site only. Can you please help me to approach the same and where to customise the countries.

    Hello,
    it will appear if you have at least 2 different countries in the addresses of your locations.
