    Hello everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to look into my problem here. I’ve been using wordpress on a free web hosting service until it gave me alot of downtime instead of up. So I decided to migrate my wordpress to another free host which seemed more reliable.
From the old server I’ve export my SQL database and import it into the new server both using “PhpMyAdmin”. I’ve changed the “WP-Config.PHP” file to reflect the new servers information. Copied all files & folders to the new server and set all the necessary permissions.

However, when I try to load the page, I’m getting this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/u362443175/public_html/wp-config.php on line 3

My new site is at: heatseeker.at.vu
and my old site is at: mycybertrooper.net.ms

    Thank you

  • You seem to have introduced an error in your wp-config.php file – at (or near) the top of the file.

    Right you are mate,

Found the problem… Anyone else having the same problem later on, you may want to download and install Notepad++ to edit your WP-Config.php file.
Don’t use the conventional windows built-it Notepad. It’ll jumble up your PHP coding upon saving.

I often use Notepad to edit apache configuration files and I’ve never had a problem with it. It should work with .php files just fine.
