With the most recent update, I’m getting a critical / firewall issue when navigating around the dashboard. This is happening on a fresh install of WordPress, once ASE was enabled, and I toggled the admin-widgets to off it immediately is kicking “dangerous site, do not enter” errors on Chrome. This only applies to logged in users, but wasn’t happening in past versions of this plugin.

I’m running ASE 7.8.14 on WP 6.8.1, it’s the only plugin installed / active. No modifications made to this site yet, fresh / clean database.

I’m only submitting my issues here as a ‘heads up’ for the devs. I’m personally running this plugin on over 80 different client websites, if it’s showing on a clean install it’s obviously going to be an issue for the rest.

@krissy thank you for reporting this. A Chrome “dangerous site” warning is not usually related to what happens inside WordPress. Please try deactivating ASE and see if the issue remains or not. My guess is that there’s an SSL misconfiguration, or that you installed an SSL certificate but your site URL settings inside WordPress >> Settings >> General is still using HTTP and not HTTPS.

Please understand that I already ran a full debug of everything, this happened specifically after aspects of this plugin was enabled. I use the admin settings to remove widgets from the home screen and cleanup the navbar, when utilizing it for every other aspect it’s fine, as soon as I toggle the removal of the admin widgets that’s when this error occurs.

@krissy here’s a screen recording of a fresh site (at InstaWP) where ASE is installed and the Admin Interface >> Disable Dashboard Widgets module is configured to hide all dashboard widgets: https://www.loom.com/share/899e10c814ed4c10b636ea9c8b3141e3?sid=1d9d48f1-274a-43b7-bfcd-43e153854dfe. I’m not able to replicate the issue you are seeing.

Please note that this is using v7.8.15 (latest) of ASE. Please also note that you’re currently the only user reporting this issue.
