Security scan timing

    I’m checking Wordfence scan options. For a normal small site, is running the security scan once a week enough, or should it be scheduled more often if the site gets regular plugin updates?

    Hi @anjali00, thanks for your question.

    There’s a daily quick scan that runs once each day, checking for plugin/theme/core updates. This is to ensure customers are notified promptly if there are any vulnerable versions or other notable issues found. This should cover the frequent plugin updates you mentioned.

    The weekly full scan on the other hand will will perform the scan type of Limited, Standard, High Sensitivity or Custom based on the options you have selected: https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/options/
