• I want to install wordpress (latest) on my website (not localhost but an actual domain name) to be used for developing and staging websites but not be visible to the general public.

The situation is this. I want to develop wordpress websites within my website. The website itself will be created with wordpress and there will be a public facing landing page, but then I want to develop wordpress sites for clients where the site I’m developing for them is secure from the public and only developers can access the site(s) begin developed.

    How can this be accomplished?

    example:

    mysite.xyz (public facing landing page)
develop.mysite.xyz (secure access to wordpress instances for development of client(s) site(s)).

Thanks for any guidance as to how the approach this may be accomplished?
