your section block icon suggests that it is possible to have some kind of columns within a section block, or at least blocks inserted and aligned in a horizontal row. Is that possible?

yes, sure, the standard column block. But that is a bit a pity not to have the Getwid sections features like animations, backgrounds, margin settings etc. on a per column basis
