Enabling “Search in Custom Fields” in the Search settings returns results from the entire site, rather than just the selected post type. Rolling back the plugin, I’ve discovered that this started occurring with version 3.11.6.

    Hi!

Searching by custom fields (meta fields) is a special search algorithm that goes beyond the standard WordPress post search. It includes searching for phrases and words stored as post metadata. Therefore, the results may not always be relevant. Our specialists will verify the correctness of the meta fields. While it may have worked correctly before version 3.11.6 (as you say), this doesn’t mean the plugin is completely secure. We don’t recommend using older versions of the plugin, as significant security improvements have been made recently.

Yes, I’m familiar with the vulnerability before 3.11.6, so I’ll be keeping the plugin up to date with the latest version for sure, just with the “Search in Custom Fields” option turned off for now. But the post type that we’ve built uses many custom fields built with ACF Pro, so I’m hoping a future update can make this search function work again. Thank you for all your efforts, this is a wonderful plugin!
