I have 6 different categories and on the search results I would like to show the user how many results there are for each category.
Than the user will be able to click on any category to filter the results.
The counters next to each category is vital.

I am not sure it can be achieved with this plugin and your input will be greatly appreciated.

Well, that is more on your theme customization, all I can tell you is customize your theme’s search.php function

When I click on “AddTaxonomy” and then Select Taxonomy there is a dropdown box with only “category” as a selection. How do I get a parent category to show up in that drop down box?

Also, I would like to add a reset button to each form. Thanks.

The ‘category’ already is the parent category.
If you have no custom taxonomy, there will be only ‘category’ on the dropdpwn box.

To add a reset button, you either using javascript to add the button or editing the plugin files.
