WordPress already has a built-in search, you don’t need a plugin for that. You can always reach it via parameter ?s=searchtext.
Example:
https://wordpress.org/?s=hallo
What speaks for you against using this?
Note: your theme surely provides a suitable search form and search template for this.
Thank you for your reply. I do not understand. I am looking for a search plugin that will search data in wptables. Currently the plugin I have tried does not search data in wp tables.
WordPress’ own search searches the data in its own tables. Maybe you have something else in mind? Describe more precisely what your goal actually is?
mu goal is to have my user enter a part number in the search field on my site and have the page with the part number in the wpdatatable show in the search list. i do not know of wordpress’ own search
Ah you are talking about wpdatatable – a plugin. You should rather ask your question in their support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wpdatatables/
I have already. No reply. Thank you.
