Search oriented website

    Hi, I’m looking for a minimalistic theme, that would resemble of, let’s say google. I want a big search field in the middle and a small menu bar. What theme would you recommend? Maybe wordpress isn’t the right choice for me?

    Hey, @daivanas! No… WordPress is a blogging platform, not a search engine. Your best bet would be to build a system from the ground up, specifically for your website. It IS possible, however, to make a website that runs on WordPress that searches your blog posts, but that’s about it, and even at that, you will still need to do some extensive programming to get even the most basic features… It really just depends on what you’re looking for.

    If you really don’t want to do coding, though, you may want to take a look at http://wordpress.org/themes/montezuma. Just an idea.
