That’s not a search input field, as far as I can see. That’s just a menu item with a search icon and an empty sub-menu item. How did you put search in the menu?

Sorry, but you’re using a premium/paid theme not supported in these forums. It’s best to go to the support site where you bought the theme – http://themeforest.net/ – for help with customizations and issues. You paid for support when you bought the theme, so you should contact the people who sold you the theme.

These forums are for free themes available in the WordPress theme directory at http://wordpress.org/themes/. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products

OK – great. Thanks. I inherited this theme and it’s also been customized in a weird way. Just trying to figure it out. 🙂 I will go to the theme.

There are ways to add search forms in menus, but it may depend on the theme menu system. https://themeforest.net/item/flatsome-responsive-woocommerce-theme/5484319
