Search is broken / Private Groups

    Have a problem and a question:

    Problem: I can’t get the search to work. The search results just pull up the most recent posts in my blog– doesn’t pull forum posts at all.

    Question: Will this work with private groups? Meaning, is there a way to filter the results to show only what that user would see in their usergroup?

    I got the search widget to show up, but it still returns all forum results regardless of usergroup restrictions. Any ideas?

    Hi and thanks for your feedback!

    This plugin/ widget is like an input field in a widget for the built-in search of bbPress, nothing more, nothing less.

    It was not designed to work with any restrictions for third-party add-ons of bbPress.

    However, you can try if this group plugin you are using allows for restricting the built-in search in bbPress. If that is possible then also my search widget plugin should work with that.

    I am not able to provide such support for these other plugins, as I am currently not using bbPress anymore.
