The search functionality in the latest version of MailPoet has removed the ability to search for an email address by only adding a portion of the characters in an email address. It only seems to be searching on the name field now. It used to search both.

For example: If one of the subscribers has an email address of john.doe@frankentein.com

And you enter “frank” in the search form, the system used to show the results for any names or email addresses that contain “frank”. It no longer does this.

This is causing a problem with our workflow. Can you please add this functionality back?

Hi @tomanthermosonics, thanks for reporting the issue. I can confirm it’s valid and will work on fix, which should be included in next week’s release.

Hi @tomanthermosonics, thanks for reporting the issue.

To help us better understand the impact and make sure the fix covers your use case, could you share a bit more about how you typically use subscriber search?

    For example:

    • Are you usually searching by part of an email address, by domain, by subscriber name, or a mix of these?
    • Has the ability to match partial email addresses been an important part of your workflow, and if so, could you share a few examples of how you use it?

Any additional context would be very helpful. Thanks!
