Search form background colour transparency

    I’m trying to change the color of the background for my search form and make it a little transparent. I’m trying to match my two search form as much as possible (Please have a look at the screenshot by clicking the link below) So my questions are:
    1. how to change the color of the background for my search form
    2. how to make set transparency level to it
    3. how to position dates fields in a correct order, one below each other (please have a look at the screenshot)
