Search Engine Description

Hello, I’m not really familiar with WordPress or blogging for that matter, hence my post here now.

After I have set up my WordPress for my site I went to Google and Yahoo to search for it (“ivory studio”). My site came up as the second or third on the list but the description still says “This site is currently under construction.” (this was my index.html). I want the search engine description to be a portion of the about page on the blog.

So far, I’ve made a new index.html which is currently empty and redirected that to my root folder since if I continue to use the http://ivorystudio.net/index.html/ url, it comes as a 404 error.

If anyone could help me, I’d really really appreciate it and I apologize if I posted in the wrong section.
