Can you go into further detail as to what the problem is? I don’t think I can replicate it
hi @guidebookbaby,
on mobile the theme displays a search icon.
it is not a search widget.
we tested it on your Site URL and it works.
Try “plastic” term.
The problem is: your posts and pages are poor of content.
The default WordPress search feature is fairly limiting.
We all know that.
If nothing matched your search terms, WordPress answers:
Nothing found.
Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.
This is correct.
ps:
the search icon on mobile uses the standard WordPress code:
get_search_form
how can i remove it and replace with a search widget that works?
@guidebookbaby,
the search icon on mobile and search widget are the same.
as i said, your posts and pages are poor of content and the search feature in WordPress is fairly limiting.
if you want to hide search icon:
– go to Appearance » Customize
– click on the Theme Settings » Header tab
– uncheck “Display Search Icon”
Hi, I had already done all this and the search icon is still showing in mobile view. It is not present in a desktop view.
hi @guidebookbaby,
we’ll check again the issue.
hi @guidebookbaby,
we tested your site https://guidebookbaby.com/ and there is not search icon both on desktop and mobile.
