• Hi

You may well point me in another direction however over the past few days the traffic to my website has increased significantly HOWEVER a large part of that is going to the url suffix “widgets/book/book”. This page throws up an error so its clearly wrong and I need to fix. The one I have placed in the link above is just one example. There are many and I realise it will somehow relate to my books page here:

    https://www.justonefortheroad.com/travel-resources/holiday-book-reads/

Apparently this link to the bad url is coming from mostly an organic source.

I cannot find where this url was created as it does not appear in my widgets.

Can anyone throw some light on this mystery. Sorry if this is an obvious question to those in the know – sadly I am not !

    Many thanks

    Rupert

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The URL returns a 404 page, even in HTTP status. Thus, this is not an error page in that sense. It simply does not exist.

Where did you get this URL? From the access log of your hosting? Then it is probably attack attempts on URLs that are known as possible attack points. The fact that they do not exist is good for you. But the accesses are of course annoying, even if they are not really harmful for you.
