Did you rebuild the index after changing the custom field parameter? That is the correct way to make Relevanssi index SKUs, and it should work just like that. Looks like your site search is powered by Relevanssi, that’s not the problem either.

Hi Mikko, yes I did.
I set the content types to product only, custom field to _sku and then saved and rebuild the index.
But my searches do not produce results.
E.G.:
This research > http://www.perleavenezia.com/?s=PEV0100MRL
should output this prod
http://www.perleavenezia.com/shop/pendenti-vetro/pendente-in-vetro-composto-da-murrrine-a-forma-di-cuore-finitura-lucida/
but it doesn’t
THanks
You can try setting the custom field parameter to “all”. Does that help?

Hi Mikko. I did try with “all”, “tutti”, again with “_sku” and then with all of them.
If I add “product_variation” to content types, the variations appear in the results (which I don’t want), but not the parent product. My woocommerce products are set to Catalog & Research, thus they’re not hidden.
Here you can find my settings screenshot.
Thanks.

That Italian translation is incorrect, the correct settings for custom fields are “all” and “visible”…
But anyway, if indexing product variations brings results for SKU searches, then that would indicate that your products don’t actually have SKUs, and the SKUs are set on individual product variations. Is that so?
If it so, then in order to find the products with the product variation SKUs, you need to add some code that adds the product variation SKUs to the main products.

Hi Mikko, I tried all the combinations, with all all, visible and _sku.
Products SKUs are set on both variations and products. Besides, some product don’t even allow variations (and of course have sku)

Sorry to bother you but I DO need to find the problem.
I’m happy to dig further into this if you buy a Relevanssi Premium license and provide me WP admin access and FTP logins to your site. That level of support goes beyond what I can offer for free here, but is standard service for Relevanssi Premium customers.
