Seamless Donations Suddenly Stopped Working

Seamless Donations has not been working for quite some time now. The only email notification we receive that a donation has been made is via PayPal. The IPN has been set in PayPal, so that’s not the issue.

– Our donors do not receive email notification from Seamless Donations that their donation went through.

– We do not receive email notification from Seamless Donations that a new donation has been made, nor does it display any recent donations in the interface.

It seems that all of a sudden everything stopped connecting… no emails, no records, etc. Can someone please shed some light on this issue?

Hello –

What’s the best way to send you the logs? There’s an option to export the donations report but not the logs. Is that the same thing?

Hi pcgtech! Look for the Logs submenu under Seamless Donations – drag, copy and paste those in an email to allen at allendav dot com and i will take a look.

I found the bug and fixed it in 3.0.0 – please give that a shot and let me know if that solves the problem.

Hi Allen –

I made a donation and still no notification from Seamless Donations–only from PayPal. It also does not show under ‘Recent Donations’. It’s like it doesn’t exist.

Hmmmm…. Please send the latest log to allendav at allendav dot com – be sure to put “pcgtech” in the subject or body of the email so I can correlate it to you 🙂

Hi Allen –

I’m still having the same issue with Seamless Donations. I disabled plugins, including one that was mentioned in the error in your email to me, did some test donations and still nothing. It seems to me that the problem is with the IPN URL that is provided by the plugin.

Also, I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but when a donation is made, PayPal sends an email with a warning that the IPN is failing.

Do you have any other suggestions or could you take another look before I find a different plugin for my donations? Thanks.
