My hosting company ran a check on my site because I cannot access cpanel and my domain being blocked from sending email, delisted at spamrl.com, however, the host tech team said it appears there are numerous changes to files specifically: script or plugin may have been compromised to send unauthorized emails

so running the scan, keep getting the message failed, no notifications, etc for 10 minutes. Ran it again, nearly 5 minutes now, no movement.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Update:

I tried the scan on standard, all other plugins off, removed the scan outside wordpress, it ran quick, next added the scan outside and it finished scanning, worked with in limit, seems plugins are the issue, will try one at a time and see which one for the next time.

    Hi @officewife,

I’m glad to hear scans are running now! Let me know if you continue to have any trouble.

Regarding the potential compromise, if you can, please run a scan with Wordfence and use it to delete/replace any infected files. Scan with the High Sensitivity scan type for best results. You can update this setting at Wordfence > Scan > Scan Options and Scheduling > High Sensitivity. Make sure to back up your site files before deleting anything.

As a rule, whenever I think someone’s site has been compromised, I also tell them to update their passwords for their hosting control panel, FTP, all WordPress admin users, and the database. Make sure to do this.

You should also update all plugins and themes and ensure that you’re running the latest version of WordPress core.

We have the following checklist for site admins to clean sites: https://www.wordfence.com/docs/how-to-clean-a-hacked-wordpress-site-using-wordfence/ Additionally, you might find the WordPress Malware Removal section in our Learning Center helpful: https://wordfence.com/learn/

If you are unable to clean this yourself, there are paid services that will do it for you. Wordfence offers one, and there are others. Regardless of whether you clean it yourself or have someone else do it, we recommend making a full backup of the site beforehand.

    Thanks,
    Margaret

FYI: I am surprised I have to say this but I am. It is not alright for anyone to email me with their offer to fix my issues. That feels like spam to me and I will not reply, rather I will mark it spam. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you Margaret, appreciate the feed back. I did try to run with high sensitivity and it froze up.

Currently running a new antivirus installed on my CPanel, Immunify360, see what comes up. I cannot send email, flagged as spam, still today.

I attempted to run high security again, it gets hung up after the site check, on the file check. Keep getting the same issue, with plugins active. I deactivated the Select Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP, that was the problem. Scan ran clean.

    Thank you for your assist.
