scan failed after raising the limit

    After contacting hostinger’s CS I have raised all the limit and adjust the setting for my hosting.

    But the scan just failed.

    I have sent a report. please help

    Hi @lexicongrammar, thanks for getting in touch and sending your diagnostic over.

    I can’t see any clear failures being reported, but your max_execution_time is set to 900. We advise that this is 60 or less (but not 0 which is “unlimited”) in php.ini to improve scan performance, although it’s not limited to the performance of Wordfence. Such a high value could contribute to CPU/worker exhaustion that manifests as connectivity issues. Give that a try for sure.

    After changing the above, if the scan keeps failing:

    • Go to the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page
    • In the “Debugging Options” section, check “Enable debugging mode”
    • Click to “Save Changes”.
    • CANCEL any current scan and start a NEW scan
    • Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log once the scan finishes and paste them in this post.

    That should help us see what might be preventing the scan from completing.

    As for the max_execution_time issue

    In my php file it was set to 900. I asked Hostinger’s to solve this scan fail issue.

    however in my hpanel, it is set to 360 and the AI customer service claim that the limit will still be capped to 360 even if the php file shows 900

    Currently I can’t contact to Hostinger’s human support. If you think it is necessary to edit the php file please let me know.
