• Hello

I’ve been using Wordfence for 3 months without any problems, but ever since I logged in tonight to run my weekly manual scan, it stops in the middle of the scan and consistently displays “scan failed.”

Scanning for unknown files in wp-admin and wp-includes

I don’t have any memory issues; I’m using Hostinger’s Cloud version, which is designed for startups with high traffic.

In the scan, the last line that appears is:

Analyzed 7,300 files containing 129.37 MB of data so far

However, the WF log shows: “

    [Jul 21 20:48:49:1784666929.005078:2:info] 21,581 files indexed

Any idea what’s causing the problem?

    Regards

Hi @galaxymer, thanks for providing that log information.

We have a number of test sites on Hostinger and haven’t noticed a recent change in scan performance. I’d still recommend double-checking our scan troubleshooting docs in case anything there helps: https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/troubleshooting/

If nothing there improves the situation, it’d be great to see a diagnostic report from your site. Send it to wftest @ wordfence . com from the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Click on “Send Report by Email”.

Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it as the inbox is unmonitored.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
