Are there any clues in the log?
Yes, because of Chinese file name inside plugin folder (such as woocommerce folder).
If there existed file name with Chinese characters, duplicator won’t work.
Just one single file, will let whole duplicate process stop.
For example:
content-single-product-備份.php ===> won’t work.
content-single-product-bak.php ===> OK.

Well, I’m experiencing the same problem.
I’m editing an existing website locally. The migration from the web happened fast and easy, but now I would like to upload the site on its stage server in order to show it to the customer.
The scanning animation seems to work but then I can not build the package. The fist time it does it to me.
In the upload folder, I have picture named with french special character. I tried to filter out this folder but I can’t go on. The log file is empty. I don’t know where to search.
Any idea ?

International characters is still an area where I’m still trying to improve; deeper testing is on the todo list. The only suggestions I have right now are on the FAQs and have helped for some circumstances:

Hey Cory,
I foud out that I left an archive repo in my project folder which weight around 250MB. Plus the website, I have tried to “Duplicatorate” a package of 500MB. Definitely too heavy for the plugin.
Eventually, I simply filtered out the archive repo AND my ‘wp-content/uploads’ repo as well. It worked like a charm.
Hope it will save hours to the community.

Yeah on some hosts 500MB will timeout way before you can complete…
