Hi Luke,
Can you give me some more info, please?
For example dimensions of the original image and of the crop.
Thanks.
Hi Tomasz,
On the initial live installation which I reverted back to the pervious edition it was saving cropped images by seemingly squishing the entire image into the required dimensions.
On another installation when selecting ‘Crop’ under a Media Library item in list mode with debug turned on I cannot save at crop changes at all and the crop dialog had the error output:
Notice: Undefined index: size in /manual-image-crop/lib/ManualImageCropEditorWindow.php on line 39
When debug is off I can save but only if I first select the size tab for the size I want to crop as otherwise that ‘size’ variable maybe isn’t set. The default selected tab is failing to set that variable is seems. When it does save a change it’s an all black image. My test image has no large mass of black colour. Multiple crop test images all saved as black.
An Example:
Original picture dimensions: 805 x 806 px
Target picture dimensions: 380 x 235 px ( Hard crop mode )

We have the same problem. The image is somehow stretched.
Heres the original situation:

And here’s the result of the crop:

As you can see, the preview and the result look different in the last image.

I was having the same problem. Images were stretched instead of cropped with MIC V1.11. I reverted back to V1.10 and it is working properly.
Tomasz, I love your plugin. I think it should be part of the core WP installation as their cropping tool leaves much to be desired. I hope you get this sorted out.
Same issue. Images get squashed. Original image is portrait and crop is landscape. When cropping square thumbnail it works OK.
Please let me know if it’s any better after upgrading to v1.12
Tomasz, I upgraded to v1.12 and cropped a couple fotos. The stretching issue present in v1.11 is fixed. Hurray. Thank you.
This is a fantastic plugin and I would happily send a donation for the time and effort it has saved me. Is there a paypal email for that? Or some other method?
Hi babayard, you can find the donation link in the plugin’s description tab.
Thanks.
