• I created a home page for my en_gb lang site, which had the url /en_gb/home I then created another home page which has the url en_us/home-2

How do I remove the -2 from the american version of the home page, they are different urls so why does the page specific url have to be home-2?

  • You are right, both pages have different URLs. But in the WordPress world we have to have a look at the permalink. They are not different. And WordPress does not allow the same permalink.
If you have to use the same permalink, you have to switch to Polylang Pro because there is a build in solution for this.

Hi @codestylist thanks for the reply, is there any way to include the language as part of the permalink and therefore remove the -2?

    cheers

You can use every permalink you want. But, a permalink has to be always indivudal if you do not want to buy the pro version.
