• I keep getting SafeMode activated message even after I have tried to transfer connection or create a new connection. My WordPress account has been set up originally on AWS Lightsail with the IP address 18.168.98.182 and then I have added my domain name beadembroideryart.com . How can I delete my previous 18.168.98.182 account without damaging my new one beadembroideryart.com so I don’t get these duplicated issues anymore?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Moderator note: I’ve removed @threadi’s reply as it’s not relevant. If your site has the IP address still used as part of its url, install the plugin “better search replace”. Search for http://18.168.98.182/ and replace with http://beadembroideryart.com/ in all tables.

Hi Steve. I have just tried this and the Safe mode transfer connection pop up is still there. This is so frustrating. Is there no way I can just delete that WordPress account 18.168.98.182?

What do you mean by “safe mode activatated”? Is that from Jetpack? What do you mean by “that WordPress account 18.168.98.182?”. How is that IP address an account?

Sorry I don’t understand much about this. My brother has helped my set everything up and we did it following the instructions on AWS Lightsail. So I first login to my dashboard via this link http://18.168.98.182/wp-admin/ , I have installed jetpack and woocommerce payments plugins. Then I’ve got my own domain name beadembroideryart.com and I think this created a duplicate WordPress account. Now I login to my dashboard via http://beadembroideryart.com/wp-admin/ . But the problem is that every now and again (pretty often) I get a notification SafeMode activated transfer your connection from 18.168.98.182 to beadembroideryart.com or create new one. when I click transer connection it goes away for sa short time and comes back again in a while. When I do a new connection it’s the same and the only difference is that I need to set up my payments from the start. I don’t know what am I doing wrong as there is no other option to choose from

    >> I think this created a duplicate WordPress account. <<

    I don’t uderstand.

It looks like the error message is from Jetpack. Is your site connected to Jetpack or wordpress.com or woocommerce?

The message comes from Jetpack and from Woocommerce payments. Sorry I don’t understand much about what connects to what and how. It says we’ve detected that you have duplicate sites connected to Jetpack / Woocommerce payments. But I cannot disconnect it from one or the other as it seems that they are the same thing. So if I try to disconnect and the connect back it does it on both. So I suppose 18.168.98.182 is the same as beadembroideryart.com . So how do I get rid of the errors?

I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
