Safely updating old Pro version without license

Hello,

We are updating a WooCommerce website in a staging environment.

The currently installed versions are:

• Price Based on Country (Free): 3.4.4
• Price Based on Country Pro: 3.4.7
• WordPress: 6.4.10
• WooCommerce: 8.6.4
• PHP: 7.4.33

The Pro plugin appears to have been installed by the original website developer. We do not have access to the original purchase account or license, and the License section is empty.

The free plugin offers an update to version 4.3.4, but we have not updated it because we are concerned that the old Pro version may become incompatible.

If we purchase a new Pro license, can we activate it on the existing installation and safely update Pro 3.4.7 to the latest version without losing our pricing zones or settings?

What is the safest update order for the Free and Pro plugins in this situation?
