Hi @ofmarconi,
1 – I’m really enjoying it, I just installed it, is it mandatory to have to delete the rules in the CF?
It is very tricky to answer that question without looking at what other page rules you have. First of all the page rule added by this plugin should be the first rule as priority 1. After that, you can add as many rules as you want as long as they are not overwriting the cache control or headers or stuff like that. You can add page rules for forwarding and other stuff but not related to overwriting caching as that is taken care by the plugin.
2 – I already enabled without deleting the rules, what should I do to make the most of the performance without problems with dynamic content?
Read the above answer, please.
3 – Does this plugin replace any need for configuration in the CloudFlare panel?
Mostly yes but you can still go inside the Cloudflare and do fine-tune the configuration if you know what you are doing. For example enabling rocket loader, enabling image optimization (if you have pro plan), enabling always SSL, SSL Strict more, HTTP 2, HTTP 3, Hotlink protection etc. This plugin only makes sure you take full advantage of Cloudflare caching and best in class CDN you can still do other configurations inside Cloudflare.
4 – I have a static website at the moment, do you think this plugin can be better than the rules I had already applied? Why? I didn’t notice any differences in GTMetrix, compared to the rules I entered manually.
I don’t understand your question. No WordPress site is a static site as it is not just planned HTML & CSS. The server is always generating content. In terms of testing page load speed, GTmetrix is the worst place to test that. Use webpagetest.org where you will be able to see exactly how much time your page is taking to load across multiple locations, device, internet speed etc.
5 – One last question, how do you make money? has a Pro version or donation, it seems to be very good to keep for free.
Inside the plugin settings, on the right-hand side sidebar there is a link for donation. There is no pro version of this plugin yet and we are not making any money out of it. Not even a penny. Unfortunately. So, donations should be really helpful.
The page rules you have shown tinkers with performance, edge cache ttl, browser cache ttl, performance settings of Cloudflare. You can’t do that as all those things are managed by the plugin itself. As I said you can use page rules for anything other than tinkering these things. Like setting up a redirect or forwarding.
Hope this helps. 🙂
