I keep receiving the “No rules were updated. Please verify your website can reach the Wordfence servers.” message.

To save some time, I’ve done what’s been recommended on other similar posts. I have tried deleting the wflogs files, and checked in diagnostics that WF is connecting to its servers. I’ve just sent a diagnostics report using my forum name.

This is happening across multiple websites, this just happens to be the one I’m fixing right now.

Hi @diegovh, thanks for getting in touch.

I’ve not received a diagnostic report to our email inbox (or spam) with “diegovh” as the sender, or with your site URL mentioned so it seems likely this hasn’t reached us. Your web server may be having an issue with the email software on it. Usually, a restart of postfix or sendmail (whichever is installed) can fix it. Your hosting provider may need to help with this. You can also export a txt file from the diagnostics page and send it as an attachment to wftest @ wordfence . com from your personal email account, making sure to include your forum username in the subject.

If you’re certain from the diagnostics page that there are no file permission or communication issues between our servers and yours, you could also try setting Wordfence to write to the MySQLi storage engine instead of a file: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/mysqli-storage-engine/

Let me know how it goes!

    Peter.
