Your feed is not valid. Deactivate all of your plugins, then check the validation again:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fscribblerportfolio.com%2F%3Ffeed%3Drss2
If it’s valid, reactivate each plugin individually until you find the cause.
Hey, thanks for your response. Tried what you said, no difference…
I just have the contact form 7 and akismet plugin activated. Tried to switch them of, but still doesn’t work in Chrome.
When I do it in Firefox: the subscribe menu pops up. (which is the way I want it too).
But in chrome the url shows this: http://www.scribblerportfolio.com/feed/ and I get a long text which doesn’t make sense…
Should a create a feed document or move it from somewhere into my theme folder?
Your feed still isn’t valid. Try switching to the default theme.
Tried with the deafult theme, works in Firefox, not in Chrome…
Could there be any plugins I am missing? Like I said, I have only put in the link http://scribblerportfolio.com/?feed=rss2…
to be honest, i have never tested my rss feeds with chrome..how i see, i get the same thing on my sites (15 blogs) with chrome.firefox reads everything like charm, but chrome messes up everything….maybe a chrome issue?!
ok, take a look at this…
after adding the rss reader extension to google chrome, it works like charm
https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd
so i still think it’s browser related issue
It sounds like you deactivated all plugins except contact form 7 and akismet? You need to deactivate all of them, then check the validation:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scribblerportfolio.com%2Ffeed%2F
It will only take a minute or less.
I did deactivate all plugins, didnt work. Too bad one has to download an extension to make it work, dont think a normal visitor to the site would understand that…
What I dont get though… When you click the feeder symbol, this URL appears: http://www.scribblerportfolio.com/feed/
And I dont have any folder or file called “feed” in my theme folder.
Too bad one has to download an extension to make it work.
It’s a syndicated RSS feed. It requires a feed reader of some sort to be interpreted correctly. If you want to read it in your browser, then some browsers will required to you to install an extension. See this for more info on feeds:

And I dont have any folder or file called “feed” in my theme folder.
It’s a virtual directory created by the permalink structure.
